There are just two changes from the side that won 19-14 at home against Doncaster Knights last Saturday. Matt McNab picked up an injury in that game so Will Trewin switches from full-back to wing, with Iwan Price-Thomas selected at 15.
In the pack, Josh King is named to partner Lewis Pearson in the second row.

A strong line up that should be good for at least 4 pts, BUT things don't always go our way up there, nothings a given!!! I anticipate a hard game with very few points between them and us coming out on the right side of the W. Good luck to the l;ads and a safe journey either way.

Any away game is tough, but we are in good form so hoping for a win. We'll miss McNab, he's been on fire lately.

. Had planned to attend fixture Saturday 28/12/ prior to the match been moved to Sunday 29/12. Ensure you pack your wellies and believe we should come away with a positive result.

This will be a very tough fixture against an Ampthill side who are always difficult to beat on their home ground.
Hopefully if we can replicate the attitude and performance of the last 2 weeks we we can go into the new year break with another win.

A great bonus point win on the road moves the pirates up the table to equal 5th.
The pirates got off to a great start scoring 4 tries in 26 minutes before Ampthill scored just before the break.
A much more even 2nd half with the pirates having to defend for long periods to secure a very important win and a great way to end the year.
Well done to all the players, coaches and backroom staff for turning the season around over the last few weeks.
Enjoy the New year break and best wishes to Will Gibson and S&C coach Atis Amaglo who are both moving to Australia to begin new careers.
