Jace Van Dijk could play a part in Sunday's tricky away trip to the JJB Stadium. The Crusaders skipper had been ruled out of the game against the Wigan Warriors after aggravating an ankle injury during Monday’s humiliating 40-18 defeat at the hands of Harlequins. Tony Duggan, however, heads a depressing injury list for the South Wales club.

Van Dijk was not named in Cru's initial squad - but has since passed a fitness test and will be part of the 19-man squad travelling to Lancashire.

Cru are big underdogs to claim their first Super League win this weekend - but the Warriors have hardly set the world alight with their domestic form this season.

They have won only three of ten Super League outings and were given a scare by Championship club Barrow in the Challenge Cup.

Cru, however, are set to be without Duggan, Matty Smith, Geraint Davies and Mark Lennon as they aim to avoid a tenth successive defeat of the new campaign.

Lincoln Withers, meanwhile, is back in the squad whilst Damien Quinn is set to register his 100th appearance for the club.

I started the season full of hope we would be competitive without any real hope we would win many.

Sadly our competitiveness seems to be falling away as we've taken another big beating today.

What is apparent is that there is no depth in the squad and that is hurting us at the moment.
