Saders travel to France

The Celtic Crusaders and some loyal supporters will travel off British shores to France this weekend as the Super League campaign continues away to the Catalans Dragons. John Dixon's Saders have a host of injury problems ahead of Super League's so-called second international fixture.

The Saders face a big ask if they're to claim their fourth win of the season on Saturday night and close the gap on Salford to four points.

Dixon's men travel to the Stade Gilbert Brutus with a host of injury problems. Aled James, Tony Duggan and Darren Mapp remain sidelined, with Paul Ballard, Mark Dalle Cort, Josh Hannay, Damien Quinn and Jace Van Dijk joining them in the treatment room.

Despite, therefore, the return of Marshall Chalk and Jason Chan, the club will be down to the bare bones as they face a physical Catalans side.

The French outfit currently sit 10th in the table and will be somewhat disappointed with their return of eighteen points from 21 matches to date. They are, however, heavy favourites to chalk up their tenth win of the season against a heavily-depleted Saders side.

Hats off to all the travelling fans and, following the news that a permanent move to Newport is set to be sealed, let's hope Cru can give their fans something to cheer against the Perpignan outfit.
