Ben Jeffries rejects move to Crusaders

Australian stand-off Ben Jeffries has rejected a move to the Celtic Crusaders. The 27-year-old is instead set to re-join the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats when he leaves the Bradford Bulls at the end of the season.

Jeffries was offered the chance to move to Rodney Parade and join the Saders - but has rejected the move and is instead set to re-sign with former employers Wakefield.

The Australian stand-off spent five years with Wakefield after moving to the Super League from NRL outfit Wests Tigers.

However, he quit the Wildcats to join the Bulls in 2008 and has spent two seasons at Odsal.

Jeffries has played against the Crusaders twice this season - in Bradford's 12-34 win at the Brewery Field and during the Saders' victory in West Yorkshire, our only Super League away win to date.

makes sense wouldnt have to move away at 27 may have a young family.

Sadly not wanting to re-locate may be a perennial problem for us.

I guess you can play for 11 of the 14 teams in SL without ever really having to move house.
