Oz won the WC in 2000

Wales reached the semi-finals of the 2000 World Cup and gave eventual winners Australia a massive scare in the last four. Wins over the Cook Islands, Lebanon and Papa New Guinea saw the valiant Welsh through to the semi-finals.
