Scorpions fans choose new jersey

New strip for club

By Chris O'Brien,
December 5 2010

Fans of the South Wales Scorpions have chosen the club's style of jersey for the 2011 season. After requets on our messageboard, Club directors kindly gave supporters the chance to vote between three types of kit for next season.

A handful of problems with kits gave fans a headache last season - so it's brilliant to have been given the opportunity to choose next year's design with months still to go until the new season's first set of six!. 43 per cent of fans voted for Option A, soon to be pictured, which adopts a traditional chevron. The move will see the club return to its traditional black with a "hint" of pink colour scheme; following a long spell in fluorescent all-pink last season! The new season draws ever closer!

At the risk of enraging the clique... I would have preferred one of other shirt designs, as it would seem so would the majority of the voters. The other two were basically the same but for a small variation.

The "traditional" V gained 43% of the vote
An alternative to this gained 57% of the vote

Oh no - we wont ask for a revote will we? (Sm100)

We could end up with a coalition shirt!!

By that logic the Tories should not be in power (Discuss) as more people voted for the other two.

Can we use AV to choose the shirt next season?

Let's have a referendum.

Yes, my namesake could have held power.

But, oh no wait, more people voted for the other two too.....

Now I'm really confused.

Just to answer the question, after a meeting held at Neath RFC a few months ago, the supporters of the club asked could there be a few choices for the new kit, (Three in total) kit two and three were simular but different, so the supporters voted on three designs and design one came out on top, You the supporters asked for the V front to be in the three choices,
I hope this clears up some questions

The V is the one most people want - I think it is brilliant and cannot wait to get my own! As I won't be playing I am happy to buy it of course!!

No problems Rob !

I voted for shirt one like the majority , the other two are a bit too 'busy'. Maybe they could do a training shirt in one of the other two designs? I look forward to buying one of those when they come out. Do you know how much they are going to be Mr B? and if they come with the shorts/shocks etc.

All kit etc will be suopplied by Macron, who west wales print use, they have a shop in Neath town centre, oppisite iceland, or just around the corner from Neath workies, it is upstairs next to the old Neath RFC shop.

Excellent news and hopefully we'll have no trouble with replicas etc.

If they are good enough for Napoli, Bologna, Real Mallorca, West Ham , Charlton and Leeds to name but a few they are an excellent choice it would seem
