Come on Scorps!

With Welsh rugby league still shocked to the core following the Crusaders’ decision to withdraw their 2012-2014 Super League licence at the eleventh hour, the South Wales Scorpions return to action on Sunday with a crucial home game against Rochdale Hornets. Mark Rowley’s men know that they must beat the Lancastrian XIII to stand any chance of qualifying for the end-of-season play-offs.

Club owner Phil Davies is hoping for a bumper crowd as the Scorpions enter the last chance saloon on Sunday afternoon.

The Scorpions must beat Rochdale Hornets at the Gnoll to keep their faint play-off hopes alive.

Failure to beat Rochdale, who dumped the Scorpions out of last season’s play-offs, would ensure that the Neath club face a third successive season in rugby league’s bottom tier.

Rowley’s men must reverse a poor run of form which has seen the club lose three games on the spin, including an embarrassing defeat at London Skolars.

Last season, 522 fans were at Neath as the Scorpions claimed a narrow 30-25 victory over the Hornets, with Steve Parry and Curtis Cunningham amongst the try scorers.

narrow defeat but but not quite sure how Parry's try was dis
aollowed over the line.Gives us and the players hope for the future. if they play the same against London they will have problem.
