The Mountain Ash era begins...

The new 2015 season comes to Mountain Ash with the South Wales Scorpions first competitive home match of the year at their new home. The club host York City Knights in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup with the kick off at 2pm. The home team will be keen to put up a good performance after losing 40-0 last week in the league one cup at Rochdale Hornets. 

Tickets are only £6 for adults, with reductions for concessions.

Scorpions will need to get a few home wins under their belt sharpish, I feel that the crowds will show up but if the team doesn't the locals will turn their backs and it will be another failure.

The Scorpions could not get a win at Maesteg and the interest fell to zero, its vital to get home wins, unfortunately with poor pre season preparations it maybe a step too far, never the less lets hope the wins start and the locals follow.

It is a good point but bearing in mind the bookies have SW around 66/1 for the Championship 1 and York at 7/1, I suspect they do not think it will happen this weekend. I could not find any specific match odds if anyone knows a site that looks this far down the pecking order - plenty of SL and NRL bets to be found!!

Nothing even on the Ladbrokes site !!

It is becoming difficult to find bookmakers who post odds for the lower divisions...
