Fixtures for League One shield

North Wales Crusaders v Scorpions opens the League 1 Shield fixtures kick on Saturday 23rd July. At the home of Chester RUFC with a 2.30pm kick-off.  The Scorpions home matches in the competition are versus Newcastle Thunder on July 31st, Oxford on August 21st and Hemel on September 4th Caerphilly RFC.  We have two other away matches at Coventry Bears on August 6th and Gloucestershire All Golds on September 10th.

The League One shield is competed for by those teams finishing in the bottom half of the table and who missed out on the promotion challenge. It gives teams more games against teams they should have a better chance of competing against. Let's hope that the Scorpions can get off to a flying start at Chester next Saturday!
