...and a new victory for 2018 on Sunday 18th February,I hope.

Really looking forward to this and I hope the home crowd are

behind the players for the full 80 minutes.We need to shout them

on to a win.Just as we will be missing a few players;so will

Newcastle Thunder.

The spine of their side changes at hooker and half back due to

injury.Their replacement hooker,Ben Pointer,was signed from

London Broncos,where he was coached by former hooker Andrew

Henderson,who proved a success as a player and thus far,as a

coach.The ruck area will be important.The Thunder former half

Benn Hardcastle,a record points scorer for them,has moved to

Keighley,Danny Nicklas,former Hull FC,has been injured and will

miss the game.Experienced forward Rhys Clarke also misses

through injury and Wales international forward,Matty Barron

announced his retirement just a few days ago.They may play new

pacy Tee Ritson from Workington at full back.

With our missing players a noisy home crowd may be the

deciding influence.Please be there to cheer them on...

A winning start for West Wales Raiders will do nicely...

All being well i shall be going down on sunday .

It just so happens that the referee for this game v Thunder

will be Andy SWEET.

The first competitive game I watched last year,where Mr Sweet was

the referee,resulted in a home win.

Well new season same drama , Game called off after over an hour wait , Doctor didnt have the right meds apparently big let down i hope it didnt put any new fans off from going again

The issue at Stebonheath was a lack of adrenaline in the medical kit.

Despite the efforts of club and RFL staff to source some it was fruitless

All specitators were refunded ticket money but Raiders haven't had a positive start.

Good heavens above.

This is not the start we were hoping for!

Newcastle Thunder have made a long journey for nothing and will have to come down again.

While I come down from anger and frustration mode lets take a

positive or two.

I can't see any suggestion of any punishment from what is

mentioned in C8 - [media.rugby-league.com]

Any publicity is good publicity and a little 'local'sympathy may be
addressed towards the club.

Hopefully our undercooked players will take inspiration from those Down Under who have just beaten the Super League clubs without playing any competitive games - when we take on Bradford next week.

Yes hopefully we will have a much stronger side for the rearranged game. Nice to see all the old faces Andy,Lorna, Ian, Patrick, Darren,Dai Morris .Quite a lot of new local faces so we move on and look forward to the next home game.
