The Newcastle Falcons Supporters Club has over 450 members and serves the supporters of Newcastle Falcons RFC. The Committee has 7 members who hold regular minuted committee meetings to ensure the smooth running of the Club for the benefit of its members. The Supporters Club also has monthly meetings with representatives from Newcastle Falcons to encourage healthy relations between the two organisations. It only costs £5 a year to join the Supporters Club and receive the benefits of membership as detailed below:

Away Travel

The Supporters Club organise coaches to all the away games, with the subsidised price dependent upon where the away match is being played (only £8 to travel down for the game at Leeds). The coach normally aims to arrive about 1½ hours before the game, and leave about an hour after the finish. Alcohol intake on the return journey varies dependent upon the result of the game!!! (Please note – unlike on football coaches, rugby supporter’s coaches can legally carry and imbibe alcohol!). The facility to book on-line for away travel is now possible via the website.

Trips to European games have also been organised, the last one being to Treviso, and have proven to be extremely successful and enjoyable.

Social Events

Regular social events are organised by the Club, including Christmas Dinners; ‘Talk-Ins’ with Falcons personnel; Burns Suppers; Dinner & Speaker evenings, End of Season dinners etc. Many of these events are held at Kingston Park, and several events will see guest appearances by the players.

Newsletter

A regular newsletter giving up-to-date news and information on events is sent out to all members. The newsletter contain items such as information on away travel; fixture lists; news on the U-21s; news on Player of the Month awards; foreign trips; interviews with the players; photographs of European trips; updates on the new build for the stadium etc.

Player of the Month

Each month the members vote for their 'Player of the Month', with a draw to decide who presents the recipient with his trophy. This presentation is usually made after the first home game following the vote, and currently takes place in the South Bar. A photograph of the presentation is awarded to the presenter, and an article will usually appear in the next Newsletter.

Discount

Supporters Club members are entitled to a 10% discount on items purchased in the Newcastle Falcons RFC Club Shop.

Special Events

Occasionally the Supporters Club are entitled to one-off promotions such as the invitation from the Club to sit in the East Stand for the Harlequins game.
