Newcastle Falcons have announced that England World Cup hero Jonny Wilkinson will be back at Kingston Park for the London Wasps match... But it doesn't say he'll be playing...

With the England team not arriving back into the UK until this week it is highly unlikely that Saturday's match will see Wilkinson playing. Yes even God has to get over jet lag!

However Wilko should be back in the North East to support his team mates when the Falcons take on London Wasps on Saturday November 29th

As reported on the Newcastle Falcons Official Website www.newcastle-falcons.co.uk Jonny has told Rob Andrew he wants to be back home for his team mates clash with Wasps. Newcastle Falcons Director of Rugby Rob Andrew said:

"It will be marvellous to welcome Jonny back to Kingston Park. He is a hero amongst the fans and is well respected by his team mates. It will give them a real boost to see him in the crowd for the Wasps game and they are looking forward to having him back in the squad ready for the next stage of the Zurich Premiership season."

The World Cup isn't the only prize Jonny Wilkinson will be bringing home with him from Australia as for the second year running the Falcons star has been awarded with the coveted World Rugby Player of the Year award.

Newcastle Falcons v London Wasps kicks off at 2.45pm and the match is live on Sky Sports.
