The RFU has developed a range of resources and information to help support clubs affected by the Coronavirus.

COMMUNITY GAME GUIDANCE

Return to Rugby Roadmap

The RFU has announced a national roadmap to support a return to community rugby activity. This roadmap consists of six stages, Stage A relating to individual training with one other person, moving through to Stage F when there can be a return to competitive matches against other teams. We are currently at Stage B following the government’s announcement of 28 May.

roadmap infographic  and more detailed guidance has been produced to clarify the six stages of the roadmap. The return to rugby roadmap is also available to download as a pdf.

Facility Reopening

In line with the Return to Rugby Roadmap, the government has announced that some rugby facilities can reopen from 4 July. It is important that each club makes its own decision about why and when it would like to reopen facilities.

The RFU has produced guidance for rugby clubs to help determine the most appropriate way forward as well as detailed resources on risk, facility reopening checklists and how to create an action plan.  You will also find links to other useful information published by government, Public Health England and Sport England.

COMMUNITY GAME SUPPORT

The RFU is hosting a series of support webinars so that volunteers can gain access to information that could help their clubs.

The England Rugby Club Hub is an online group buying platform designed as a one stop shop for rugby related products for the rugby community to access at competitive rates. The Hub now has a dedicated area for Rugby Restart where clubs can access the products they may need to aid with the reopening of their facility.

EMERGENCY LOAN SCHEME

The online application process for RFU Emergency Loans has reopened.

The scheme is available to RFU voting clubs that face cash flow challenges as a result of the impact of Covid-19.

Loans of between £2,000 and £10,000 are available to provide eligible clubs at league level 3 and below with financial support towards essential operational expenditure.

These loans will be interest-free, repayable over a period of up to three years, with an opportunity to defer the first payment for up to six months.
