Newcastle Falcons tonight top the Zurich Premiership for the first time since the championship season of 1997/98, after a nailbiting 22-21 home victory over Harlequins.
The win, Falcons' first in the Premiership at Kingston Park this year (the last being against Northampton on 28th December), came after trailing 13-9 at half time and was built on 17 points from the boot of Jonny Wilkinson, plus a penalty try.
Quins had a chance to win the game at the end, but Jeremy Staunton missed the penalty from 40 metres out.
More news as the happy hoards return.
