An attendance total of 126,768 were recorded at NL1 clubs this season, 358 more than the previous season, but includes 3,814 who attended the three play-off games at Blackheath and Birmingham Moseley.

Top of the pile are Plymouth Albion, increasing their attendance by over 11,000 and raising the average by 65% to 2,233. In the process they claimed a NL1 record of 4,631 against Rams. These figures not only surpassed the rest of the league by a considerable margin, but also most of the Champ sides with Bedford, Coventry and Worcester posting more. Furthermore, all of Albion's games sit within the top 16, with Blackheath's 2 playoff games and Rotherham's last game of the season preventing a clean sweep. The lowest at the Brickfields was against Leicester Lions at 1,482 with the Clifton game running a close 2nd at 1,490. 

Other teams that saw improved attendances were Blackheath who benefited from the play-off game and the newly promoted, Clifton.

Birmingham Moseley had the benefit of two play-off games which increased their overall attendance by 2,305 and turned around their average from a marginal decrease to an increase of 9.5%.

Not everyone had a positive season, Dings and Tonbridge saw high percentage falls, despite successfully maintaining their level 3 status, but most surprisingly Rams lost nearly 200 per game. Tonbridge also hosted the lowest gate of 121 when they entertained Dings.

Highs and Lows

On the road Albion played in front of the fewest spectators during the regular season, and if it were not for the promotion play-off would have seen the lowest average.
