England head coach Brian Ashton has announced his team to play France at the Stade de France in round 3 of the 2008 RBS Six Nations. Sale scrum half Richard Wigglesworth will earn his first start for England, with London Irish number 9 Paul Hodgson on the bench. Bright prospect Tom Croft has also been named on the bench and will no doubt be looking to make an impact later in the game.

Wigglesworth replaces Harlequins half-back Andy Gomarsall, who drops out of the squad completely. Skipper Phil Vickery and fellow prop Andrew Sheridan return to the front row after missing the victory over Italy in Rome.
