The tickets on sale from 18th August is the last major release for all matches.

Every match, including the Final and Pool Match blockbusters such as Melbourne’s match between Australia and Ireland and South Africa versus England in Perth will have tickets for the public to buy. However the ongoing message from the Australian Rugby Union (ARU) stands firm – you will have to be quick for some matches.

The tickets on sale include those not sold in the original offers, tickets not taken up in the Ballot for Prime matches, extra seats made available at some venues and hand backs from the International Rugby Board (including those from the travel program, hospitality, VIPS, participating teams and sponsors etc).

According to CEO and Managing Director of the ARU, John O’Neill, 500,000 tickets in total will be available to the Australian public.

"The ARU has always indicated that these tickets would come closer to the tournament and now we are delighted to offer half a million tickets to the Australian public.

"With tickets available to every match this formally dispels the rumour that we are sold out.

"We encourage all Australians to mark 18th August in the diary and be part of this international festival of sport," he said.

The release of tickets for matches will be staggered over five days through different ticket agencies
