England triumphant after their Rugby World Cup win, paraded through London, had tea with the Queen and Cocktails with the PM what more could the get for Christmas read on

 

DECEMBER 2003 - IN REVIEW:

 

ENGLAND CROWNED RUGBY WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS!

Well the excitement of England Winning the Rugby World Cup continued throughout December and the Zurich Premiership attracted lots of new supporters wanting to see the Rugby stars - Jonny Wilkinson, Jason Robinson, Josh Lewsey, Lawrence Dallaglio etc.,

Unofficial England's very own Colonel paid tribute to a Prop Idol of a man England's Jason Leonard 

The 4-5th December saw the start of the IRB Rugby Sevens Tournament and England  7's Team for Dubai.  England once again proving their dominance in particular on the second round in George South Africa. England Rugby Sevens Results!  

December 8th was a momentous day and  started early the England Squad and management boarded the O2 Sweet Chariot bus and paraded the William Webb Ellis Trophy through the streets of London England Parade Photos - Claire Jones(Saints) and there is more Eng Victory Parade Photos - Tiger_ress,  Eng Parade - Wasps,  Eng Parade -Lon Irish.  The team went onto have lunch then tea and cakes with the Queen at Buckingham Palace, Cocktails with the PM at 10 Downing Street and finally onto Lawrence Dallaglio testimonial dinner in the evening.

Unofficial England's very own Poet - Patrizia Gargiulo gave us our very own Victory Parade Poem to round off the day perfectly.  Bedazzled (Sale Fan) and Unofficial England Fan took time out to pay tribute to England & Sale Hero Jason Robinson

The 20th December and all eyes focused on Twickenham again, for the friendly invitational and some would say money making match of England XV v New Zealand Baa Baas XV.  The New Zealand Baa Baas sponsored by Emirates Airlines. England's head coach went into full working mode again and  Clive Talked - Baa Baas?  Unfortunately due to injuries it became a slight farce but hey it was only five days to Christmas and the Pantomime season.   The team that eventually played did England proud and some of the youngsters have put down their marker for a place in the six nations.     England v Baa Baas preview and Eng v Baa Baas Review. 

We had Dave(Old No2) giving us some excellent versions of songs England Songs, England's 12 Days of Xmas  and of course that England Victory Parade around Twickenham.  Wonderful, Wonderful what better Christmas present could we have wished for England Parade Twicks & More Baa Baas Photos

Well yes there was more to come the announcement that the whole squad was to be recognised in the New Year's Honours list.
