Coventry Rugby are pleased to announce the following changes to their squad with two new signings. Loose head prop Andrew Brown comes in from Doncaster Knights on loan, whilst utility back Tom Collins come in from Northampton Saints Academy as a dual registered player.
Andy Brown, a loose head prop forward aged 23 was born in Derby. Initially at Leicester Academy, he then played for more than a season at Cambridge RUFC. For the last three seasons he has been at Championship side Doncaster Knights. A serious knee injury during the summer required an operation and since recovering he has played 4 games for the Knights. However a further injury has curtailed his appearances and needing more game time he has jumped at the chance to come to Coventry Rugby on loan.
Now back fully fit he has already been selected to play for the Coventry Nighthawks side this week, and looks forward to bringing his Championship experience to Coventry.
Tom Collins aged 18 and born in Northamptonshire, attended Northampton School for Boys, and is in his first season as a member of the Northampton Saints Academy. A utility back Tom is equally at home as fullback, wing or centre. Tom joins Coventry Rugby as part of the dual registered loan scheme.
Other news
Lock Rob Walton has been released by Coventry Rugby and has now signed for Broad Street.
Centre Steve Johns is now also at Broad Street on a loan basis from Coventry Rugby.
