Coming back from 10-0 and 13-3 behind, Gloucester responded well to last weekend’s disappointing day at Newcastle as their second Kingsholm win over Saracens in a fortnight continued what has been a see-saw few weeks for the cherry and whites.

Coach Bryan Redpath says the result proves that Glaws are a good side, and while that was certainly true on the day, it could be said that the Newcastle defeat – and the manner of it – proved the opposite.
What is true is that Glaws CAN BE a good side, but at the moment they are both good and bad – it’s consistency they are searching for so results like Saturday’s are common and results like the one at Kingston Park are a rarity.
Saturday’s game itself underlined this theory, Glaws second best in the first half and a power in the second.
Owen Farrell kicked two penalties and converted James Short’s try as Sarries cashed in on Alex Brown’s yellow card and threatened to make it a bad day at Kingsholm.
But Nicky Robinson’s reliable boot gave Glaws a toehold and he had scored three penalties before Charlie Sharples scored a great individual try.
The scenes that followed the over-spectacular touchdown weren’t pretty, but underlined the commitment of both teams as Sarries centre Kameli Ratuvou was stretchered off and Sharples walked off clutching his shoulder.
Robinson added another penalty to earn more breathing space and Glaws held on for the win.
Redpath told the BBC: "To get back to 19-13 up from 13-3 down the boys were outstanding and I was delighted with them.
"Today has highlighted that we are a good side, we must believe we can push for the top four, but that will require a lot of hard work, thought and individual toughness.
"I'm chuffed to bits but we must learn from these yellow cards or it means I'll have to change the personnel."
The Premiership table is realty tight round the top four, with just seven points between second and seventh places.
Glaws are fourth and next weekend’s visit to Sale is a big test … will we see the Glaws team that lost at Newcastle, or the one that fought back so well for this win over Sarries?

It's a case of two steps forward and one step back at the moment. We have to be better on the road.
Hopefully starting at Sale.
