After two successive wins Glaws were taught a lesson by Sarries who got back to  their own winning ways  with a hard fought 30-14 victory.

The major plus for the Cherry and Whites was the workrate and quality of the defence, but it took until the last ten minutes for them to get on the scoreboard. Jonathan Joseph made the score look more respectable after going over in his corner and then taking a sharp pass from Freddie Thomas to swerve inside the cover to score his second.

Greorge Skivington summed it up for the media: "It was tough. They were relentless, made us live in our own 22 for at least 50 minutes of that game. We had opportunities in the first half that just didn't stick.

"We probably took the wrong options a couple of times and didn't get any points on the board which gave them a real momentum going in at half-time.

"However, there were some unbelievable defensive blocks from the lads, their ability to stay in the game and keep fighting and fighting was impressive."

It leaves Glaws second bottom but just one point behind Quins. However, it doesn't get any easier with a trip to free-scoring  Saints in two weeks time.
