Looks like we've started planning early for next season with the news that nine players have already agreed new contracts for next season The one to be most pleased about is Shane Monahan who has made an immediate impact - and who would find little trouble in finding a dressing room peg elsewhere ...
The same probably couldn't be said of veterans Andy Hazell and Will James, but nevertheless their experience has been invaluable and they have a couple more seasons in their legs - even if they've only agreed one year extensions.
Thirty year old Nick Wood [left] has better prospects with his three year deal while Monahan, Koree Britton, Gareth Evans, Dan Murphy, Dan Robson and Yann Thomas have all signed for two years.
That's on top of Jonny May and Tom Savage who have already signed new contracts plus the arrival of James Hudson and Matt Kvesic who will be joining during the summer.
Nigel Davies says he's happy with the way things are looking, and the fact that these players are eager to commit so early in the proceedings must be a good sign.
Top four this season - Top Two next!
