The Fat Lady Gargles

Lots To Do

She's warming up and come 9.30 tonight the fat lady will have sung her song and left the 2012-13 stage. Newcastle take on Bedford in the last domestic game of the season with arguably the richest prize on offer ...

I watched the first leg in the pub and boy was I pleased. Four old boys on the next table provided more entertainment with their almost silent game of doms.

The Falcons supporters claim there was too much at stake which is why Deano resorted to stick it up your jumper. But didn't he always resort to that?

For a home side Bedford had pitifully little to offer until the later stages and I see they've brought in Shaw at fly half in an effort to get something going.

With the best will in the world I couldn't see either team  managing to avoid relegation next season - that's supposing the Blues win and then persuade the authorities their ground is up to scratch after all.

The gulf is too big and both wpould need to add at least a dozen quality players to their squads.

Falcons should go through to deny the lawyers their court fees. But they will then be saying goodbye to match winner Gopperth whose off across the Irish Sea, and skipper James Hudson has served his sentence and is rewarded with a Kingsholm contract. How will they replace those two?

So it looks like we're off to the frozen north again next season but most probably for one season only.

Not that I'm aware of - does amnesia run in your family - or have you forgotten the last meetings of both sides?

You might think you are a cut above us poor refugees from the frozen north, but those are the historic facts, obviously opinions of what will happen next season will differ - but thats what they are - opinions, whilst facts are facts.

Did you really expect anyone from Newcastle to respond in an effusive manner to a midly derogatory, faintly patronising article?

Are they all as touchy as you up north?

Hi Trailape,

Firstly, many congratulations on winning your place in the AP. You thoroughly deserve to be part of it.

I don't agree with the article above. It's poorly written and I can assure you doesn't represent the views of most Glaws supporters.

As you can also see, we have a troll who's created numerous aliases who ruins threads associated with our club. He's doing the same on the offy.... It's a nightmare! I wouldn't be surprised if he wrote the article to provoke a reaction.

Once again, well done on your promotion and all the best next season. I look forward to seeing Newcastle at Kingsholm again next season, although hope the result is a different one from 2 years ago.

Regards,

Camel
