The temperature at Kingsholm at 7.00 tonight is forecast to be 26 celsius - yes it really is the start of the new season.

The JP Morgan 7s curtainraiser promises to be the perfect start with BT unveiling its new live rugby coverage and Bath, Exeter and Worcester providing the opposition.

Rhodri McAtee comes into the squad where his experience with the Welsh 7s squad will be more than useful . He joins experienced hands such as Billy Burns and Akapusi Qera  as well as some new raw talent in Reece Boughton and Lew Ludlow.
