It was red hot on and off the pitch as a 13,000 strong family crowd enjoyed some superb entertainment as Kingsholm hosted the start of the J P Morgan 7s and the launch of BT Sport ..
The atmosphere certainly helped the players produce some scintillating tries with the Warriors the surprise package coasting through to next week's finals.
Fittingly Glaws kept the home fans on tenterhooks before coming through strongly in the final game against the Chiefs to clinch second spot.
That mean the hosts of the next week's final won't actually be there. As I said - a great night all round.
Must admit Im not a great fan of 7s but that was a great night very well organized and with a great atmosphere. It was so warm I nearly switched to lager.
Well done to everyone fro staging such a great night and now I cant wait for the proper rugby to begin
Had good evening last night in the Shed.
Personally I thought Wuss were the best team. Our boys lacked physicality but showed decent spirit.
The final at the Wreck minus the home club, wonder how that will go down?
I took the neighbour's kids and they thought it was all great so hopefully that's two more converts from the round ball game.
Yup Wuss were the best on the night as l;league tables dont lie but our lads grew intpo the game as the night went on and the one thing you need in 7s is the ability to spot the opportunity and the speed to take it and I thought we showed that. Reckon the finals night will be some occasion for everyone who isn't from the host club
Chiefs can hold their heads up as well.
