Savage At The Front

Tom Savage will run out as skipper at Kingsholm for the first time tonight as we stage a double header against Plymouth Albion [k.o. 5.00] and Scarlets [kick off 7.45] ... 

Conditions promise to be  much better than they were in Ireland for last week's hard fought 28-17 defeat against Munster with two strong squads selected.

Obviously most eyes will be on the second game with new signings Matt Kvesic, James Hudson and Tavis Knoyle featuring in that game.

The Albion game will also guve us a chance to see Jonny Bentley, Drew Cheshire and Dan George.

Squad  v Plymouth Albion: Martyn Thomas; Steph Reynolds, Tim Molenaar, Ryan Mills, Drew Cheshire; Jonny Bentley, Jimmy Cowan; Dan Murphy, Dan George, Tom Heard; Elliott Stooke, Will James; Matt Cox, Andy Hazell (capt), Gareth Evans.

Reps: Koree Britton, James Gibbons, Yann Thomas, Tom Hicks, Lewis Ludlow, Reece Boughton, Billy Burns, Mike Tindall, Jaryd Robinson, Will Haywood.

Squad v Scarlets:

Rob Cook; Charlie Sharples, Henry Trinder, Billy Twelvetrees, James Simpson-Daniel; Freddie Burns, Tavis Knoyle; Nick Wood, Darren Dawidiuk, Rupert Harden; Tom Savage (capt), James Hudson; Sione Kalamafoni, Matt Kvesic, Ben Morgan.

Replacements: Koree Britton, Dan Murphy, Yann Thomas, Lua Lokotui, Akapusi Qera, Dan Robson, Billy Burns, Mike Tindall, Steph Reynolds.

Things are looking good for you guys this year - Kvesic could be a great signing.

If your key blokes stay injury free and your pack manages to front up, the playoffs beckon!
