Burns upended

Two wins against feisty European opponents will hopefully provide the kickstart our season needs ...

The 38-7 victory over Treviso wasn't as easy as the scoreline looks as the Italians fought all the say .. often literally.

But with Jonny May back and looking sharp and the likes of Twelvetress looking much sharper we are beginning to look like the Cherry and Whites of old.

Greig Laidlaw kicked two early pens before Lewis Ludlow wcosssed to give us a 13-0 lead. McKinley's penalty got Treviuso onb the bioard before Jonny May's score at the end of the first half.

Michael Tagicakibau's go Treviso's only try  soon after the break, but Matt Scott got a third shortly aftert with Callum Barley's late try securing the bonus point.

This week's game at "fellow strugglers" Northampton is now looking a very important one.
