Hopefully Laurie Fisher's "resignation" tweet was just an understandable knee-jerk reaction after yet another late game capitulation ...
His tweet "Unbelievable capitulation. Clearly not good enough. My responsibility. Time to make room for someone else" was pretty accurate although whether the offer to make room for somone else is necessary is debatable.
Laurie was as frustrated as every other Gloucester supporter by our inability to close out a game where we were winning 27-15 with just seven minutes left.
The excuse is that Richard Hibbard was binned - but 14 well organised men should have bene able to hold out and stop Quins from crossing twice with young James Lang getting a last gasp penalty to snatch the game 27-30.
We needed maximum points to mount an assault on the top six, and it is looking increasingly likely that we will have to win the Challenge Cup as our route into next seasons Champions Cup.
