Time To Move On

There's aocahing mantr which says move on every three years and that's hwtw Johan ASchermann has the good sense to do. He leaves for Japan with bvery best wihshes for a noble atempt but ot is the right deiocison for all partries at the roght tikme.

Any doubts about that should be viewed in terms of hwat happened (so far) this season where a strong squad  lost nine of the 13 games before the lockdown.

Not good enough, and now we have the breathing space to take a hard look and look at what will be needed in what will undoubtedly be strange times.

Johan leaves for Tokyo club NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes  - presumably an offer he couldn't refuse and an interesting challenge in a nation whose running rugby and support play ignited the last World Cup

He leaves with a legacy of tajking us to the final of the European Challenge Cup in his first season. The next season we finished a very creditable third and, as things stand, we are nnth this season.
