There's no doubt that the early sending off of Warriors full back Melani Naani had a big effect on the game but Gloucs can look back with geat satisfaction on a 44-15 victory in George Skivington's first game in charge.

Gloucs, and Cipriani, got better and better as the game went on - after a rusty start where a fortunate bounce send home skipper Ted Hill in at the corner.

The sending off came as Naani recklessly used his shoulder as Jonny May headed for the line - he could have no argument with the red card. Jonny failed the assessment with Rees-Zammit coming on earlier than expected.

The Cherry and Whites struggled at the breakdown with a number of penalties against us. However, once Danny got the measure of the space left by Naani's exclusion, we didn't look back with Jack Singleton scoring on his debut - the prop popping up onthe right to step inside his marker.

Cipriani  sent in Thorley with a looping pass to give us a 15-8 lead at the break. He then chipped through for Ollie to get jhis second, then kicked for Rees-Zammit to chase and set up a penalty from which he went over from the resulting line-out drive.

Jason Woodward skipped through to help us to the bonus piont and rep scrum half Varney finished things off.

There'll be tougher games -starting with big spenders Bristol at Kingsholm on Friday night - but what a way to start a new reign for GS.
