McGuigan Starts

The first game of 2023 at Kingsholm could prove to be a defining moment for the Cherry and Whites. Top of the table Sarries are the visitors on Friday night (kick off 7.45)  and a home win could provide the platform for a successful second half of the season.

It'll be a tough ask as the league leaders have lost only once so far and are 18 points clear of fourth place Gloucs.

That precious fourth place is going to be fouight over for the rest of the seson with Tigers, Saints and Chiefs all breathing down Gloucs' neck.

A win is the only thing on George Skivington's mind and he makes five changes from the side which nailed Irish last week with the last pnealty of the game. We'd settle for the same under the Friday night lights!

Santiago Socino'as injury paves the way for George McGuigan's first start for his new club and he'lbe joined in the front row by Harry Elrington. Freddie Clarke also returns to the pack and Ben Morgan returns in place of the suspended Albert Tuisue at No.8.  

Only one change in the backs with Giorgi Kveseladze in for Seb Atkinson.
