Wolves triumph

The Huddersfield Giants will face the Celtic Crusaders on Saturday in the final regular Super League game to take place at the Brewery Field. However, the Yorkshire outfit will not have the Challenge Cup Trophy in tow after they were beaten by the Warrington Wolves in a hotly-contested final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

The Giants, sitting fourth in the table, were heavily tipped to win the Challenge Cup against a Warrington side who currently sit outside the play-off spots.

However, the Wire left the English capital with the trophy as they sealed a 25-16 victory in front of 75,000 supporters.

The result sees Warrington lift the trophy for the first time since 1974 - and will leave Huddersfield demoralised ahead of next weekend's clash at the Brewery Field.

Saders fans are preparing to bid an emotional farewell to the Brewery Field as they club prepare to move to Newport after basing themselves in Bridgend for four seasons.

Saturday's game will see John Dixon's men pit their wits against the Giants for the third time this season. Huddersfield sealed a 30-10 win at the Galpharm, and whipped the Saders 40-16 on the Murrayfield Magic weekend.

They look safe in fourth but I guess third (and a better playoff placing) is in their reach so yes watch out for a full strength performance.

Bootsn'all last night and in particularly McRae seemed to think that the Giants would not care too much whether they were 3rd or 4th so IT is possible we will see key players of theirs rested to be fir for playoffs.

I watched Boots N All yesterday too, and got the same impression. In fact the game wasn't even listed a key match!
