Paul Ballard has joined the Scorpions' Championship One rivals Blackpool. The winger moves to the North West from the Crusaders, having spent three years with the club in South Wales.
Ballard is an experienced winger who will be confident of performing well at Championship One level.
He made 51 appearances for the Saders, and racked up an impressive 160 points in the process.
The 25-year-old is also comfortable at full-back and spent an impressive loan spell with Whitehaven last season.
Rugby League fans in South Wales will wonder why Ballard didn't swap the Saders for the Scorpions - but the player had recently moved to the Wigan area so was looking for a new club based in Lancashire.
Ballard will return to South Wales on May 2nd when the Panthers travel south to Neath.
