We started out earlier this year with promotion hopes however it was not to be and the South Wales Scorpions season ended with a loss to the North Wales Crusaders at Wrexham which condemned us to a next to bottom finish in Championship One. Let's hope for better things in 2014.The World Cup is nearly here which will surely put a spring into RL fans steps around the country... 

The Rugby League World Cup starts on October 26th with a high profile double header of matches following what promises to be a glittering opening ceremony at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Wales will play Italy in the main event which will be preceeded by a warm up match between England and Australia! 

All joking apart it looks set to be an  excellent afternoon for RL fans from around the world. 

I know that the South Wales Scorpions fans will be joining thousands of others in the Welsh capital to help open the tournament. Please ensure that you get tickets for all the games involving Wales.
