Wales close in on Euro Cup with France triumph

Wales claimed a superb 14-6 victory over France at the Arms Park on Friday evening, with Courtney Davies' superb try the highlight.

The victory puts Wales on the verge of European Cup glory following the win in Scotland. Wales need only a draw against Ireland in their final game to guarantee the trophy.

In front of 1,028 fans at the Arms Park, Dalton Grant broke the deadlock with a stunning interception and 60-yard sprint up the field.

Joe Burke's try edged Wales further ahead, before Davies' stunning moment of creativity put Wales in the clear. He cleverly grubbed kicked towards the line, darted around his marker and grounded in a moment of high-quality RL.

Michael Simon's late try for the French proved merely consolation as Wales were rewarded for a determined defensive display, and some flashes of creative excellence in attack. A tremendous evening. Cymru am byth.
