South Wales Scorpions travel to London Skolars in the opening round of the League One Cup.

Comprising of League One's clubs, and two teams from the National Conference League, the tournament is into its second season - with the final taking place at Blackpool.

Last time out, Scorpions were thumped 40-0 at Rochdale in the opening round.

Ties will be played over the weekend of February 20/21.

Skolars' White Hart Lane was the scene of the Scorpions' only victory in 2015- a 26-20 triumph in June.

In other ties of note, holders North Wales Crusaders travel to Doncaster; whilst Leigh Miners Rangers and Wath Brow Hornets face Newcastle Thunder (away) and Keighley Cougars (home) respectively.

The full draw is as follows:

Pool A (Northern regions)
Hunslet Hawks v York City Knights
Barrow Raiders v Rochdale Hornets
Wath Brow Hornets v Keighley Cougars
Doncaster v North Wales Crusaders
Newcastle Thunder v Leigh Miners Rangers

Pool B (Midlands and Southern regions)
London Skolars v South Wales Scorpions
Oxford v Hemel Stags

A cup run would be really good and great for generating additional interest and revenue too.
