The Powergen (Anglo-Welsh version) Cup is upon us, but to steal the words of Catherine Tate, are we bovvered? Daft Old Bat has, with the help of a bloke called Shakespeare, come up with a few lines that sum up the situation perfectly...
To go, or not to go
That is the question
Whether tis nobler in the mind
to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous defeats
Or to take arms against a blind ,deaf management
And, by opposing,
End it.
To stay home, to sleep
support no more
And by a sleep to say we end
The heartache and
the thousand natural shocks a Falcons Fan is heir to
Tis a consumation devoutly to be wished.
To stay away,to sleep.
To sleep, perchance to dream
Aye, theres the rub.
For in that empty sleep what dreams may come,
when we have shuffled off that season ticket,
must give us pause.....
For who would bear the whips and scorns of other clubs
the gargoyled kicks, the bungled scrums
the insolence of those in office,
who would these fardels bear
but that the dread of something after Falcons, makes us rather bear those ills we have
than fly to those we know not of?
Thus conscience makes us cowards......
and the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied over with the pale cast of thought
and enterprises of great pith (?!!!)and moment
...Lose the name of action.
Soft! The fair Rob Andrew comes......
(With apologies to Will Shakespeare!)
