The Jarrod Cunningham SALSA Foundation Charity Ball

The London Hilton on Park Lane

Saturday, 3rd May 2003

Dear friend,

The Charity Ball will be the highlight and culmination of a year of fun-raising activity for Jarrod Cunningham and the SALSA Foundation.

Since he was diagnosed with ALS (amyothrophic lateral sclerosis) a strain of motor neurone disease last year, Jarrod has been managing his illness through a programme of holistic medicine and by using the power of the mind as a healing agent. In order to provide hope, education and inspiration for fellow sufferers he established the Foundation which through its website (www.salsassociates.com) and other activities, seeks to help others affected by this disease.

The Charity Ball is the final event in a series of fund-raising activities organised by Jarrod's UK support committee over the past nine months and what a great evening it promises to be.

The venue is the grand ballroom at the Hilton on Park Lane, which ranks among the best in London's West End. The evening will start with a champagne reception at 7.00pm followed by dinner at 8.00pm. After dinner there will be entertainment and dancing until 2.00am.

A truly special evening's entertainment is planned. Among the personalities who are appearing are leading broadcasters: Terry Wogan (BBC TV and Radio 2) and Ian Robertson (BBC Rugby Correspondent). The auction of five unique items will be conducted by Fergus Slattery (former Ireland international) with assistance from Ian. The music for dancing will be provided by Premier Cru - a superb twelve piece band. There will be a guest appearance by Le Chéile, the group that provide the famous "Craic in the Valley" at all the London Irish home matches , and other special guests. In addition, there will be a raffle and silent auction for some of the exceptional prizes donated by friends of Jarrod and the committee from around the world.

Full ticket details are provided on the booking form below (MS Word and Adobe PDF format). The organising committee expects demand for tables and tickets for this special event to be high so all applications will be treated on a first come, first served basis.
