This Saturday we head to South Yorkshire for our second match of the season against Rotherham. The Titans have had an awful start, not picking up even a single point in the first half of the Zurich Premiership season.

Saturday 20th December, Millmoor Stadium, K.O. 1.00pm

Lack of ZP points aside, as we found out to our cost during our 47 - 26 home victory against them in October, they can still be very tricky customers indeed. Early in the second half of the game we were behind. A couple more mistakes and the game could easily have slipped from us. Those with longer memories will be aware that we actually lost our last away game against them three years ago, one of only two ZP victories Roth managed that season.

There is nothing quite like local information, for this I'm indebted to Daxgirl who has posted the following to assist those travelling there on the day.

Special offer on Murphy's in the ground - whilst stocks last £1 pint. hurrah! (applies to LI game only)

Game at 1pm as the Barbarians game is on at the clubhouse (Clifton) afterwards followed by entertainment including punk band (Very young and modern all about 17/18).(Murphy's £2 a pint). For £2 you can get the coach either to and from Millmoor or just to Clifton and then redeem the ticket for a pint (Usually bitter or lager but may extend to Murphy's next weekend).

Roth fans are looking forward to this one they can't get over the fact that they nearly missed the coach home from the Madstad due to all the well wishing, a warm reception is ensured.

For a cheap meal in town try the Rendezvous in the Interchange (Don't let some of the clientele put you off) or there are the usual chain pubs in the centre.
If you can't make it to Clifton before the match suggest "The Tivoli" in the ground. It's a nightclub/pub but is a reasonable price and also serves food, overlooks the ground. The pub opposite the railway station is ok too. Don't go in the shooters bar- even locals avoid it.

Make a visit to the club shop and say hello to Sue and Helen! Make a visit to the bar in the main stand and say hello to Linda and Shirley!

Warning re. tickets: £10 and £16 on day but it is reserved seating in the main stand so if you are going in there and buying a ticket on the day then you must go in with your pals or you can't sit together. p.s. The turnstiles are quite tight fatties beware!! Parking in the ground or at the clubhouse.

Roth player faves include "cj" (Chris Johnson), "Bunny" (Simon Bunting), "Spenner" Neil Spence and "Monkey" (Mike Umaga). Jimmy Cockle: almost certainly won't be playing as his head injury is still not cured, saw him last week he's ok until he starts exercising so he's awaiting results of more tests. The Namibian lion tamer is now in the squad but whether he will play who knows.

The main thing is don't come expecting glamour. Don't come thinking LI will massacre Roth, and don't bring those bl**dy drums they just aren't required in a crowd of 2-3 thousand and the drum Sarries brought went down like Jonny Wilksinson in an Australian bar!!

LI should win this but it is certainly not a gimme. The bookies will probably be calling a fifteen point margin in our favour. Knowing how the boys have liked to keep us on the edge of our seats this season I have a feeling it will be tighter.
