The Fat Bloke Sevens is Set

Last year the inaugural Fatbloke Sevens was played at Henley RFC. What a day that was. On the hottest day since records started a plethora of players of all shapes, sizes and abilities huffed and puffed their way around the riverside pitches. A great day out was had by all. Fat Bloke Sevens

Due to restrictions caused by redevelopment at the ground there is no Henley sevens this year. Little hiccups such as that however do not deter fat blokes. This years event has been moved to Abbey RFC in Reading. They are by all accounts  very much looking forward to hosting this event which is now confirmed for on Saturday 24th July.

 

The following is the draft schedule:
Teams registration 10:00 to 10:30
Safety Briefing 10:45
1st games kick off 11:00
Games completed 18:00

 

The day however does not end there. In the evening the Gagging Ferrets will be entertaining the crowds and there will be a disco.

 

Abbey RFC is very well suited for such events. there will of course be a bar, also a BBQ, and Hog Roast. There is an area for camping, car parking is right next to the pitches and for those who found it an issue last time there are loos.


What more could we want!

 

As with last year Cup, Plate and 'Arse' titles will be fought for. London Irish will again be represented by the Flatulence Fairies.

 

A grand day out seems in store. We will of course publish further details as we have them.
