Last Thursday was the annual opportunity to meet the players for last year's season ticket holders and current sponsors.

Last Thursday was the annual opportunity to meet the players  for last year's season ticket holders and current sponsors.  

Although a number of the players were on leave it provided a great opportunity to meet some of the new and catch up with many of our friends from last season.  That is provided you could get close enough to talk as most players had a ring of supporters around them. 

Around 30 of the 2006/7 squad were marched in to rousing music and rhythmic applause. Each player in turn was introduced and received their own round of applause with team captain Danny Thomas, Keni Fisilau and Devon captain Chris Lowrie getting particularly loud applause. There were also a number of younger players that will probably work their time for the Westcountry Warriors before making a 1st team appearance.

David Delaney, fly half from Shannon who had checked the club out with Tom Hayes before coming, was introduced as the 7th signing of the closed season with recent signings Federico Genoud, Tim Mathias and Wihan Neethling also in attendance. 

The squad then mingled with the guests and served a plush buffet to the supporters and sponsors.
