With the Club in Wales last weekend, having a week off from serious competition, the timing was ideal for the eighth annual Inter-Factional Quins' Fans Touch Rugby Tournament. Unfortunately, once again this year, this exciting competition was marred by infighting, back-biting and jealousy.

The first semi-final saw the Diamond Piranhas VII take on the Twickenham Toffs. This was always going to be an uneven match due to types of the players selected: while the Toffs comprised a Right Wing, a Far-Right Wing and five Stand-Offs, the Piranhas fielded seven Props - all Tight.

After the Piranhas had performed their now traditional haka round a coat-pile, the game started in good humour with both teams in tolerant mood and Piranhas were soon ahead due to some impressive wit and persistence. However after a just a few minutes the two sides were involved in a serious bantering and 'Lid' temporarily retired hurt after a quite blatant snubbing.  Half time saw the Toffs return to the VIP dressing room for lobster sandwiches, 6-0 down. However at the end of the day sheer class will always out and in the second half Perigo ran in 10 unopposed points for the Toffs while the Piranhas where busy changing their trousers. Piranhas 6, Toffs 10. Toffs celebrated their place in the final with pink gins all round..

Disappointingly, the second semi-final saw the CAW Message Boarders receive a bye to final when their opponents the Official Quins Supporters Club announced that they weren't going to play.
