Easter weekend arrived and it promised plenty of action. Good Friday saw Quins play USIU while the seconds played Nondies ll. And what drama it was in the game against Nondies ll. The seconds were leading 29-15 with eight minutes to go and were in cruise control heading for victory. What then happened next can on be described as bizarre as a lethargic looking Nondies suddenly scored two quick tries and a drop goal in the final second to clinch victory from a shell shocked Quins ll. 30-29 the final score it was and we had lost it at the death.

The first team did not dare make the same mistake against USIU and went on thrash the varsity lads 90-0 in an amazing and efficient display of rugby. Ex school boy Julius Abwanzo was named Man of the Match after a fine display of hard running rugby and 10 successful conversions (something we have not seen at Quins for a very very very long time). Charles Cardovillis also marked a fine display of hard running rugby while the front eight marshalled by the captain Edward Kinyany may have brought the rugby careers of many to an end.

Come Easter Sunday after the Lord had risen and it was back to rugby action as we hosted the Easter Blackrock Tournament. Our Sponsors this time round were Coca Cola, Bell Kenya and Sunrise Security.

Quins 1 managed to reached the semis of the main cup where they were eventually dumped out by the eventual winners the rugged KCB RFC. Quins 2 redeemed themselves and put some pride in the club by winning the plate 31-0 over a highly talented Nondies 2.

The rest of the evening went on in true Quins fashion and we got very very very tired. Lucky for us Monday was still a holiday to allow for recovery. It was good to see an old boy of Quins Beth Alunga Omollo with full family enjoying themselves the whole Sunday.
