FOLLOWING the disappointments of last weekend’s injury-time loss in the game against Fylde, we are faced with a big challenge.
When you look at the league table you can see that there is a group of four teams at the top which we are chasing and we need start the pursuit this week.
This week’s opponents Blackheath are bit like ourselves in that they have had a mixed bag of results and will prove to be a tough challenge for us.
As I keep saying though it really is all about our performance and we have shown in patches what we are capable of but for some reason we are just not putting an 80-minute performance together.
What is very pleasing at the moment is our defence and the stats and league reflect this. Our defence has improved considerably but I feel we spend to much time defending at the moment and this is giving the opposition the ball for long periods of the game.
There is an easy solution to this and that means keeping the ball when we have it, not kick it away loosely or making basic errors. We have discussed and looked at our attacking options this week and hopefully you will see a noticeable difference.
