H'away at Brickfields!

As the season draws to a close, we welcome to Brickfields our geographical opposite numbers from the North East, Blaydon. They are also not far from opposite us in the league table, with just six wins from 25 games and a mere two points ahead of Hull Ionians. Ordinarily, in fourteenth slot and with three teams due to be relegated, they would be well and truly in the drop zone. However, with the sad demise of London Welsh, only two teams will depart Nat 1 this season. So our visitors will still be aiming to turn us over and create a little breathing space for themselves.

Albion have eight straight wins behind them, but will have to be on their toes as Blaydon's most recent scalp was that of Birmingham Moseley in a catch-up game on the last "blank" weekend. After the unusual line-up in our own game against the Midlanders, the team reverts to more orthodox selection; Herbie retruns to his habitual No 8 slot and Keiran is once more back in harness at 10.

Saturday is also the annual St Lukes Hospice sponsored walk which will doubtless raise numbers (and queue times) on the gate. Best get to the ground that little bit earlier to avoid disappointment. If Albion come out of the blocks as they did at Billseley Common, you could miss a major part of the action.
