Match preview - Albion v Blackheath

Albion have the opportunity to progress up the table this Saturday as they take on Blackheath at Brickfields.

Sitting just one place above Albion, Blackheath have also had a spluttering start to their season winning 4 games out the 7 played to date.

Both sides have a similar tries for/against ratios at 1.1 and both and whilst Albion have scored a couple more tries to date, they have also conceded a couple more.

In Albion's favour, Blackheath favour scoring through the forwards, an area where Albion should be able to stand their ground. Oddly, they also allow more tries from forwards suggesting that they like to keep the play tight. That is not to say that don't pose a threat from the backs as their top try scorer, Craig Dowsett operates on the wing.

Whilst the weather will be a bit wild in the morning, the rain should ease off a little for the game and the wind will calm down a bit. Despite this, one can only think that this will be a 'forwards game' with difficult handling conditions.

Forecast - Albion to edge it, but relatively low scoring.
