Gonzalo Camacho and John Andress return from injury in the Harlequins 'A' team tonight at the Stoop against Gloucester United.
Boosted by the news of Camacho and Andress' return, Harlequins' 'A' team tonight also includes all the new summer signings, including Ollie Smith, Pete Browne, Joe Gray, Dave Moore and Benjamin Urdapilleta. Alex Stout, on the bench, is a No 8 from our EPDG group and RGS Guildford.
Tom Casson captains the side at the Stoop and Quins will be hoping to build on their impressive away win at Saracens Storm last week.

Buxton to skipper Gloucester in A League action
Gloucester Rugby flanker Peter Buxton will captain Gloucester as they travel to Harlequins for round 2 of the Aviva Premiership Rugby A League season.
Buxton forms part of a powerful back row which also features Fijian international Akapusi Qera as Gloucester travel to the Twickenham Stoop for the 7:30pm kick off.
The side also boasts international experience in the second row where Will James packs down alongside Dan Williams.
Ryan Mills, who started last week's A League opener against London Irish, moves from fly half to centre where he partners Henry Trinder.

As a newbie STH i will be attending this as my first A league game tonight - going straight from work so just wondering what is open at the Stoop - i.e. is there any food there?!

good to see andress back. slightly surprised that lambert has been starting ahead of jj in his absence. any news on robson's return date? i thought i read that he would be available for double header in an emergency, so i'd have expected him to be getting some time tonight if he's fully recovered
Robson played the first 30 mins of last week's A game but went off injured.
Apparently Robson has slight injury from last weeks A game (back?) and Lewis Stevenson has minor leg injury

Forgive me, I'm not there, and yes we're winning, but does this not smack of an historical fault in the Quins Psyche, we lift the pedal too much at the end of the game. Is this to ensure the energy/injury free status of our team? I don't know. In any event Come on you Quins and well done!

The backline was a tad confusing at the end with York in one wing, Camancho and Clegg in the centres. I think that combined with the changes in the pack meant we didn't have much good possession in the second half.
The whole team were fantastic for first half with some incredible interplay and passing between the backs and forwards.

Quins outstanding in the first half; injuries and changes spoiled the second half. Trinder looked class for Glaws at times but in the first half there was really only one side in it.
Very annoyed I missed that. Damn friend up in town from the sticks. It's only 4 or 5 years since I've had a beer with him - he should have been more understanding.

Trinder was the only Glaws player to stand out in the first half. I was amazed how off the pace Qera looked. Johnny May was good once we changed most of our team, mind...
Chisholm, Marfo, Clegg, and Casson were our top performers I thought. Ollie Smith picked a lovely line and gave a great ball to York for his try but apart from that the poor sod couldn't catch a cold, butchering several good attacking moves.

Did Marler get on at all? If not, I wonder if that's a sign he could be starting n Friday. Also, how did the new Benjy play?
The 2 Comacho's look sharp and very quick.

Camacho made an absolute storming tackle on one of their forwards in a one on one, plus his finishing was deadly. Look forward to seeing him in the first XV asap. Luke Wallace looks a livewire openside in the Skinner mould, and Dave Moore had a quick pass and strong presence about the pitch. Good signing. The less said about poor Ollie Smith the better, but he looked to have no confidence and surely Casson or Camacho must be a better bet off the bench for Friday.
By the sound of it, maybe Camacho could get the nod over Ugo? The only thing I can see that's working for ugo right now is his chasing from restarts. Too many other things are not going right.
chisholm was fantastic. as said above, smith looked woeful. not sure if it's simply a lack of confidence or a more serious problem, but he needs to turn it around quickly. agree that i'd rather see casson/sam smith/maybe chisholm on the bench on friday

followed the pattern of many A games I've seen. blew them away from the word go, try bonues secured quickly, then wholesale changes (and probably over confidence/elaboration or simply losing intensity due to size of lead) lead to scrappy last 20/30 mins. shouldn't have let glos get the bonues. but all in all a pretty convincing win and some great performances from marfo, chisholm and casson in particular

I thought Benjy played very well, in fact every one had a great game except ollie, butter fingers doesn't give it justice I think he dropped almost every ball he had passed to him poor bloke. Really enjoyed the game, shame it was so dissjointed in the second half but just too many changes and players out of position, hope there weren't too many injurries.
T-Bone: That tackle was Camacho. He puts everything into it - I guess you don't become an argentina international wing at that size without a bit of dog in you - and he was certainly up for the game.

Dave Moore very impressive for me, Casson and chisholm are true attacking threats
Can anyone tell me how Sam Twomey played? He is on loan at Ealing and spent time on Sunday afternoon joining in with the Under 6's coaching. A real credit to both clubs!
Sam put in a lot of effort around the park, looked pretty feisty too. Couple of line out steals I think as
