Allan Try

Quins had to play with 14 men for an hour after a red card for Stephan Lewies and they paid the price. Irish took the game 42-24 twith Tabai Matson admitting after the game that Quins were now "a mid-table side."

The Quins skipper was sent off after 20 minutes after a dangerous clear-out. With debut winger Michael Dykes causing some havoc with a hat-trick Quins could only muster a try bonus point.

It was a busy first half with Dykes scoring twice and Chandler Cunningham-South and James Stokes also crossing for Irish. Quins had a penalty try and a Tommasso Allan effort to their name.

Dykes got his third after the break but desite being  one man down Quins kept battling. Tries from Josh Bassett and Dino Lamb kept them in the game before a late effort from Tom Pearson clinched things for the hosts.

Irish up to seventh and Quins in sixth. Mid-table indeed.
