CHANGE TO PICKUP POINT FOR THE BEES COACHES

By BikeQuin

Due to the double header at Twickenham, Quins has rented out all its car parking spaces on Saturday so there will be no parking available for people going on the Bees coach.
So, the coach will NOT pick up at the Stoop instead the coach will pick up at Old Deer Park Car Park in Richmond. There is an entry to this car park from the A316 (from either direction). It is a large car park so there should be plenty of room.

Unfortunately, there will be a charge which, according to the Richmond upon Thames web site, is £7 for the day. Please remember to bring change for the machines.

Please also note that it is your responsibility to get there in time to find a parking place. I believe this should not be a problem but bear in mind that there will be people arriving in Richmond early for the double header.

Follow this link for further information, including a map for how to walk there from Richmond Station (there is a footpath opposite the station from the Quadrant to Little Green). Richmond Council website

I realise that this may be slightly inconvenient for some people who normally travel by public transport and, indeed, for some car drivers but it was the best idea I could come up with in the limited time available.

So, in summary:

1 The Bees coaches leave Old Deer Park Car Park at 09:30 on Saturday.
2 Please be prompt/early - we've got two coaches to load and limited time for pick up.
3 We plan to arrive at our lunch destination by 12:00 and leave in time to get to the ground by 14:00
4 Please travel back on the same coach as you travelled up.
5 The coach will drop off at Old Deer Park Car Park

And for those who haven't travelled with us before:

6 We normally have a raffle on the way back, so any donations of prizes are much appreciated
7 There will be entertainment on the way up and back (and, with any luck, on the pitch as well)

As always you can find the latest travel information on the Quinssa Website.
