I remember being at Murrayfield for that game. Tom Cheeseman spent the whole game on the wing with his hands down his shorts.
I remember the game. I remember the drive back to Cumbria better - foolishly took the hill road and only just made it through the blizzard, then got snowed in overnight where we were staying.

The weather tends to make games memorable, at least the experience if not the match itself.
The Stade Francais game in Paris, January 2010 was one. Seats were holding about an inch of rain water, spent the game sat on half a plastic bag, rushing to drink €5 Heinekens before the rain filled the glasses up!

What a birthday that was.
Yeah, that was a shocker of an away trip. Still, nice trip out to see the Louvre the next day.
The Ulster game in 2009 (I think) wasn't a load better. Took longer to get from the airport to the city centre than it did to fly there. Thoroughly rotten game, got soaked, and flew home at crack of dawn the next morning and was home by 9am, which did leave the rest of the weekend to pretend it didn't happen.
I remember in Edinburgh the French ref calling for "une balle orange" as no-one could see the white one.
I remember Murrayfield running out of hot water that day and having to resort to drinking beer (which was actually still warmer than the air).
Saracens in 1997 .... Vicarage Road and they put 50 points on us. We were awful, I have a vague memory of a decision going against Ieuan Evans in attack, who flung the ball down in disgust only for Sarries to pick it up, take a quick tap and score a breakaway.

Fair point .... I didn't go to that game but I remember the sick feeling post Ashton Gate.
Edinburgh - the game Pezza described as looking like Narnia.
We had a great welcome at Boroughmuir - despite their game being called off.
And just before the game we took a call telling us that the estate estate agent selling our house had just broken our front door! Quite what the numpty thought we were going to do about it when we were 400 miles away was anyone's guess. Never mind - it sold in January and we're here now!
